Bert "GG" Panter

Bert “GG” Panter, age 96 of Friendsville, passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at her home. She was a member of Blount Community Church and was a retired Hairdresser. Bertha was one of the original “Atomic Girls” of the Manhattan Project in Oak Ridge. Preceded in death by husband, George “Buddy” Panter; parents, Marion Webb and Laura Mae Tate; 9 brothers and sisters. Survived by daughter and son-in-law, LaDonna and Ronnie Collins; son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Kelly Panter; grandchildren, LaRonda Beam, Terri Collins, Kristopher Panter, Michael Panter; 10 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Sue Mosier. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Blount Community Church, 1533 W Lamar Alexander Pkwy, Maryville, TN 37801. Family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 PM Monday, September 26, 2022 at Smith Trinity Chapel. The Funeral Service will be at 2:00 PM with Pastor Larry Bradley officiating.
