Bernice Elizabeth Kyker

Bernice Elizabeth Kyker, age 93 passed away peacefully on Friday, November 18, 2022. She has joined her sisters Kathy and Ruby and parents Virgie and Joseph McSpadden in heaven. She is survived by her sister Mariola McSpadden, son William Kyker and daughter-in-law Elizabeth Kyker, daughter Marti Wry and son-in-law David Wry, and grandchildren Mitchell Neff, Quintin Kyker and Jameson Kyker. Bernice attended Vonore High School where she excelled as a basketball player for the Blue Devils. She lived the bulk of her life in Greenback and later transitioned to Oak Ridge to live closer to her daughter. She had a career in retail for over 40 years. She attended Niles Ferry Baptist church and had unwavering faith in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was the “rock” of her family caring for her parents and her sisters. The joy of her life was her family and one of her greatest achievements was her children and providing the support for them to reach their goals in life.  She will be remembered as a loving and caring mother and grandmother who would sacrifice anything for her children. She is loved and will be missed every day until we will see her again in heaven. The family will have the Funeral Service Saturday, November 26, 2022 at 12 noon in the Smith Trinity Chapel with the Graveside to follow at 1:00pm at Grandview Cemetery. Officiated by Rev.
