Ann Gooden Smith

Ann Gooden Smith, age 89, passed away on November 12, 2024. She was a resident of Shannondale Healthcare, Knoxville, TN. She was a member of Grandview Baptist Church, Maryville and a graduate of Friendsville High School Class of 1953. Preceded in death by: husband, David L. Smith, Sr.; sons, David L. Smith, Jr. and Jeffrey Smith; parents, Lee Roy and Margaret Gooden; brother, former Blount County School Superintendent, Leroy Gooden. Ann is survived by relatives from the Gooden and Chapman lineages of her parents; and the Smith and Sentell lineages of her late husband, David. Ann was also an active supporter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and Veterans of Foreign Wars. Per Ann’s request, there will be no services.
