Andree Green

July 7, 1923 — April 24, 2007

Green, Andree Geneva (Huff) of Maryville passed away Tuesday, April 24, 2007 at the University of Tennessee Medical Center. She was a member of Clarks Grove Cumberland Presbyterian Church and a graduate of Alcoa High School and Mars Hill College. She worked in the Metallurgical Department at ALCOA during World War II. She worked in the Blount County School System as a Substitute Teacher for many years. In the 1950's, she was a Girl Scout Leader. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, sewing, music, baking, oil painting, garden club, swimming, bowling and hiking and most of all she enjoyed her great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by: Parents, William Max Huff & Mary Rose (Carr) Huff; Infant brother; Sister, Penelope Maxine Huff; Husband, Robert Paul Green. Survivors include: Son and Daughter-in-law, Gary Green and Jacqueline Campbell; Sister, Marian De Kay; Grand-daughters, Allison Tipton and Michelle Medlin and their mother Patricia Cabage; Great-Grandchildren, Blake Cox, Riley Tipton, Reece Tipton, Taylor Green, Austin Dunlap, Ty Medlin, Anastasia Jasper, Hanna Combs, and Gabriel Combs; several nieces and nephews and several cousins; Caretakers, Jennifer Danials, Missy Burger, and Cindy Sneed; Sisters-in-law, Marjorie and Elizabeth. Funeral service will be at 1:00 PM, Saturday, May 5, 2007 at Smith Mortuary with Rev. Gale Keown officiating. Interment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until 1:00 PM, Saturday, May 5, 2007, Smith Mortuary, Maryville, 865-983-1000.
