Alta Jean Turner Cates Wall, age 71, of Maryville, passed away Sunday, November 25, 2007 at the family home. She was a member of Salem Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her parents, Coy Lee and Flora Turner, her first husband, Carroll Cates, sisters, Hazel Merlynn Welchance and Clara Coleman; Survived by husband, Jewell "Bub" Wall; son and daughter-in-law, Carroll M. Jr. and Kathy Cates; grandson, Joshua Cates; sister, Eleanor Porter; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews; Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 28, 2007 at Carpenters Campground.
