Almeda Garner

Almeda Garner, age 85, of Maryville, passed away Saturday, October 4, 2014 at Liberty Assisted Living Facility. She was a member of Old Chilhowee Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Jay A. Garner; brother, Carl Tipton; sister, Margaret Rogers; and parents, John and Tresia Tipton. Survivors include her daughters, Shirley Rupert and Nina Morgan; grandchildren, Michael Morgan (April), David Morgan (Olivia), Megan Rupert (Marcus), and Matthew Rupert (Katie); sister-in-law, Juanita Brown; several nieces, nephews and other family also survive. Family and friends will assemble on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. in the Grandview Cemetery for the graveside service and interment.
