Allen Bryant, age 79, of Maryville, passed away on Wednesday, January 21, 2026. Allen was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He proudly served his country as a Vietnam Veteran in the United States Army. Allen enjoyed dirt track racing, tractor pulls, and farming, and he was known as a master mechanic who could fix just about anything. Preceded in death by his wife, Cathy Gibson Bryant: parents, Paul and Mary Jane Bryant of Townsend; sisters, Mary Ellen Self and Polly Ogle; special Florida mom, Irene “Maw’ Mayes. Survivors include his sons and daughters-in-law, Darrell and Missy Bryant, and Rick and Jami Gibson; grandchildren, Zachary Bryant and fiancé, Michaela, Austin Gibson, Heath Johnson, Haley Johnson, Jarod and Brenna Shudan; great-grandchildren, Isabella Bryant, Lainey Shudan, Knox Butler, Gabriel Mayes, and Charlotte Moyers; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Onita and John McCaulley; nephew, Marvin and Kay Self; special friends, Jane Burns, Betty Humphrey, Gary Reeves and his friends at Cor-Tenn, and the Talbott Family; furry friend, Noah; and all of his many friends from his hobbies. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice in memory of Allen. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 pm on Tuesday, January 27, 2026 in the Smith Trinity Chapel with funeral service to follow at 7:00 pm.
