Alice Irene Collins

Alice Irene Collins, 86, of Maryville, Tennessee passed away on Thursday, May 2, 2024, at Chestnut House Skilled Nursing Facility.  She was born on July 22, 1937 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to the late Mr. and Mrs. Earl J. Brennan.

Alice’s life centered around her family, her joy of volunteering at local hospitals in the many different states she lived in, bowling with her friends and enjoying the view of the Smokies from her back porch with her late husband, John Patrick Collins (JP).

In addition to her parents, Alice was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert J. Bagwell of Pittsburgh, and most recently JP Collins whom she was married to for 36 years. 

Alice will sadly be missed by her seven children, Daniel E. Bagwell, Irene M. Bagwell, Edward R. Bagwell (Deborah), Kenneth R. Bagwell (Louchie), Christine S. Mitchell, Catherine E. Taylor (Felix), and John E. Collins (Peggy). Mrs. Collins also had 13 beautiful grandchildren.

A private ceremony will be held by immediate family members in the near future. The family would also like to thank the staff at Asbury Place and Chestnut House for their care and compassion for Alice over the last few years.
