July 22, 1940 — December 27, 2020

Ward Lewis Marsh, born July 22, 1940 in Johnson City, passed away Sunday, December 27, 2020 at Parkwest Medical Center. He was a United States Marine and an engineering graduate of The University of Tennessee. He spent his career at Y-12 in Oak Ridge. He was married to Sharon Marsh for forty-three years before her passing in 2014. After they retired, they had a wonderful time traveling the world. Ward was passionate about Corvettes. He was a founding member of East Tennessee Corvette Club and served in various leadership roles. He was also a member of the National Corvette Restoration Society. He owned, restored, and showed many beautiful Corvettes during his lifetime. He had many wonderful life-long friends that he met through the Corvette Club. For the past six years, his project was fully restoring a 1952 MG convertible, which he famously declared only needed new brakes. He had the best time working on the MG with his buddies. Ward was an active and faithful member of First Cumberland Presbyterian Church of Oak Ridge. He was a member of the Session and most recently served as church treasurer. Ward was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Marsh, and his parents, Ken & Helen Marsh. He is survived by his children, Kenny Marsh (Tracy), Kristi Davis (Chris), grandchildren Ethan Marsh, Owen Marsh, Reid Davis, and Holly Davis, all of Knoxville, sister Marijane Wurdeman of Texas, and brother, John Marsh (Jackie) of North Carolina. The family will have a private interment. If anyone wishes to honor the memory of Ward, the family requests that donations be made to First Cumberland Presbyterian Church of Oak Ridge, 127 Lafayette Drive, Oak Ridge, TN 37830.
