Wanda Jane Simerly Cooper

Wanda Jane Simerly Cooper, age 81, of Maryville passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at home surrounded by her children. She was a graduate of Friendsville High School and a dedicated employee for 47 years at Garland Coal Company before retiring. She was a wonderful mother and nana. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Pauline Simerly; sister, Martha Tucker; brother Burton Simerly. She is survived by her children, Lisa Dixon and Richard, Teresa Cooper, Gary Cooper and Autumn, Bridget Wilson and Kevin; grandchildren, Kristin Roop and Josh, Kaylee Cooper and A.J. Fincher, Sidney Cooper, Cooper Wilson, Nash Cooper, Knox Cooper; great-grandchildren, Patrick Stokes, Bennett Fincher, Amelia Roop; sister, Mary Ann Headrick; several nieces and nephews; special friend, Carolyn Graves. Special thanks to Covenant Hospice and caregiver, Cheryl Moneymaker. A visitation will take place on Monday, March 19, 2018 from 5:30 PM until 7:30 PM.
