Shannon Clary Daniel

Shannon Clary Daniel, 51, went to be with the Lord on Monday March 9th, 2020 from UT Medical Center. Born May 19th, 1968, she was the daughter of the late Truman Derrell Clary and Sylvia Humphries Clary. She was a graduate of Appalachian State University where she studied music. As an accomplished violinist, she taught at the Suzuki School of the Arts in Hickory, North Carolina, for 12 years. She continued teaching violin in Maryville City Schools when she and her family relocated to Maryville in 2006. She also had many students in her home studio. Her students enjoyed many successes under her direction. She was not only fond of teaching, but she truly loved her students. In addition to teaching, she played both violin and viola in many community symphonies, churches, weddings, and other special performing events. Shannon is survived by her husband of 16 years, Keith Brian Daniel, two sons, Adam Daniel and wife, Melanie, of Rockford, Tennessee, and Austin Loo and wife, Katie, of Blair, Nebraska, two daughters, Bethany Cornwell and husband, Andrew, of Elk Grove, California, and Bonnie Harding and husband, Colin, of Travelers Rest, South Carolina, and 2 grandchildren. In addition to her husband and children, Shannon is survived by her sister, Ashley Clary Smith and husband, Dennis, and her brother, Brooks Clary and wife, Christie, all of Shelby, North Carolina. The family would like to offer special thanks to the kindness and attention given to them by health care workers, friends, family, and the community. Celebration of life service will be held at 3 PM, Saturday, March 14th, 2020, at Fairview United Methodist Church in Maryville, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 1-3 PM at the church prior to the service. Memorials may be made to the Shannon Daniel Memorial Music Scholarship at Maryville High School.
