S. Dale Tipton

S. Dale Tipton, 80, passed away on Saturday, October 6, 2018. He was born October 30, 1937, and was a long-time member of Piney Level Baptist Church. Preceding him in death were his wife of 61 years, Lena Foxx Tipton; parents, Wiley and Pauline Tipton; brother, L.C. Tipton; father- and mother-in-law Ernest and Effie Foxx; brothers-in-law, Herbert and Hulet Foxx, Charles Schlangen, Glen Tucker; sisters-in-law, Esther Foxx and Mary Evelyn Foxx; nephew, Tim Tipton, nieces, Angela Tipton and Carolyn Foxx. He leaves behind daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Doug Simpson; son and daughter-in-law, Rick and Teresa Tipton; grandchildren, Chelsey and David Brown, Chase Stevens and fiancé, Macey Burns; several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Bobbie Tipton; sister, Brenda and Ronnie Leigh; sister-in-law, Jackie Kitts; brothers-in-law, Hix Foxx, Earl Foxx; sisters-in-law, Ruby Schlangen, Thelma Jean and Mike Tipton, Sue Tucker, Barbara and Reece Boling, Janice and Wayne Teffeteller; numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5pm to 7pm at Smith’s West Chapel on Tuesday, October 9, 2018. Funeral service to follow with the Rev. George Macht and Rev. Reece Boling officiating.
