Robert D. Thrasher II

Robert D. “Bob” Thrasher age 76 of Seymour, passed away December 5, 2019. He was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and a retired Lieutenant for Miami-Dade County Fire Department after 25 years of service. Robert also served in the United States Marine Corp. He was a beloved husband, father, brother and “Papa” who enjoyed fishing with his children and grandchildren. He will be loved and missed by all who knew him. Preceded in death by his parents, Robert D. & Mary M. Thrasher. Survivors include his wife, Carol McPhail Thrasher; son & daughter-in-law, Brian R. & Deba V. Thrasher; daughter & son-in-law, Tamara L. & Joe Cowart Jr.; grandchildren, Matthew T. Cowart, Ashley J. Cowart, Robert M. Cowart, Noah D. Thrasher, Kenzie A. Thrasher; great-grandson, Colton Robert Cowart; sister & brother-in-law, Dolly & John Penick; nephews, John Penick & wife, Dorothy, Erik Penick & wife, Tracy; cousin, Judy Millard. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until 1:00pm Saturday, December 14, 2019 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Funeral service at 1:00pm with Rev. Greg Long officiating. Interment will follow at the Pleasant Grove Church Cemetery.
