John Smith Mobley, Jr., age 94, of Maryville passed away Sunday, August 18, 2019. He was born in Kershaw County, SC, the son of John and Ella Mobley. He was a member of Tuckaleechee Chapel Church. He enjoyed his career of landscaping as well as gardening, farming, and working outdoors. He was a 50 year Mason and a World War II Veteran. Preceded in death by: Brother, Edward; Sisters, Margie Effler & Sallie Bradley. Survivors include: Wife of 68 years, Marjorie (Peggy) Mobley; Daughters, Jackie & husband John Caruso, and Kathy Mobley; Grandchildren, Angela Caruso & husband Ray Brooks, and William Caruso. Family will receive friends from 5:30 PM until 7:00 PM, Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at Smith West Chapel. Funeral service will be at 7:00 PM with Rev. John Lowe officiating. Honorary Pallbearers will be Steve Millsaps, Andy Whitehead, James Wright, Steve Monroe, Ed Mitchell, and Steve Myers.
