Jimmy Johnson

Jimmy Johnson, 76, a Townsend native, went to be with the Lord on August 17, 2018. He was raised in Townsend and graduated from Townsend High School. Jimmy served his country for 21 years in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War, achieving the rank of Master Sergeant. He proudly flew on the Honor Air Knoxville flight in 2016. He also retired from A.E. Staley. He loved Jesus and served as a deacon in his church. He is survived by: Wife of 53 years, Norma; Daughter, Dawn & her husband and children, Cody & wife Mackenzie, Zachary, Wyatt, and Sawyer; Son, Danny, his wife Tonya; three brothers; one sister; one brother-in-law; one sister-in-law, and a large number of friends. Family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 PM, Thursday, August 23, 2018 at Smith West Chapel. Funeral service will follow at 7:00 PM with Pastor Darren Wigington officiating.
