Evelyn Ruth Tipton

Evelyn Ruth Tipton from Maryville, TN passed away Dec 5, 2019 at Asbury Acres in Maryville. She was the only daughter of James and Byrdie Millsapps born on January 17, 1942. She did not know a stranger, and was known simply as “Mom” by many of the kids in the neighborhood where she lived most of her life. Her hobbies included gardening, horticulture and cooking, but her passion and joy was spending time with and bragging about her two sons and six grandchildren. Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her son James B Tipton of Maryville, TN; her son Jonathan B. Tipton of Norfolk, VA; her brother Kenneth Millsapps of Louisville, TN; and six grandchildren: Jordan Tipton, Jared Tipton, Klaire Tipton, Shelby Tipton, Kolby Tipton, and Jonathan Tipton Jr. In lieu of flowers, donations in Evelyn’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association at alz.org.
