Eunice Stella Hansen

“Cops” lose a friend. Eunice Stella Hansen age 82 of Maryville passed away Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at Brookdale Sandy Springs. “I never met a cop I wouldn’t hug” she would say. Eunice was a member of the “Thin Blue Line” at the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington DC. She was a graduate from all three citizen academies and former Associate Membership Director for Fraternal Order of Police. Eunice was an honorary member of the Blount County K9 Association having had a dog given the K9 Hansen. She donated numerous gifts to the local law enforcement including the Memorial to the Fallen Officers of Blount County. Police Chief Tony Crisp and Sheriff James Berrong said we have truly lost a “special friend.” Survived by: Husband of 58 years, Robert (Bob) Hansen.
