Dearl Johnson Roberts

Dearl Johnson Roberts, age 85 of Maryville, passed away on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a 1951 graduate of Alcoa High School, and he graduated from the University of Tennessee with an electrical engineering degree. He was employed by Western Electric in North Carolina for several years before returning to Tennessee where he worked for Marmon Transmotive and later as a security guard at Denso. He enjoyed working the daily crossword puzzle in the Maryville Times. He was preceded in death by: parents, Frank W. and Ruby Roberts. Survivors include: Loving Wife of 58 years, Aileen (Long) Roberts; Daughter, Melanie McCammon; Son, Robin (Robbie) Roberts; Special Grandson, Landon Roberts all of Maryville; Brothers & Sisters-in-law, Bill & Rachel Roberts of Florida and Frank, Jr. & Bella Roberts of Friendsville. Family will receive friends from 6:00 until 7:00 PM, Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at Smith Trinity Chapel. Family and friends will assemble for graveside service and interment at Grandview Cemetery at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, November 7, 2018 with Dr. Mark Martin of Smoky View Baptist Church officiating.
