Considering A Simple Cremation?

If you do not have the need for formal funeral ceremonies, choosing the right funeral home for cremation is an important decision. Families often base their choice upon what helpful services are needed to care for their family that also fits within their budget and personal preferences.

Since I do not need a formal funeral ceremony, how do I know which funeral home is right for my family?

Smith Funeral & Cremation Service provides additional accommodations for support that your family may need. At Smiths, your family will receive additional options to assist you. You can choose any or all of the following:

·        A Private Time for Your Family

We’ll schedule a convenient time for your family to meet in a comforting location at our facility during the day or evening hours (until 8pm) to provide your family with private time together for reflection and support.

·        Preparation for a Final Private Viewing

You will also be given an opportunity for a final private viewing of your loved one before the cremation. Our surveys indicate that 9 out of 10 families who choose to have a private viewing before cremation say that this time was very helpful for them to cope with their loss.

·        Public Farewell Hours for Family & Friends

Even if you choose no ceremonies, other family and friends may stop by the funeral home during the day (8-5) at their convenience to pay their respects, view pictures (including a DVD Tribute), and sign a Guest Register Book. The immediate family is not required to be at the funeral home during this time.

·        Additional Hours

Smith is also open on weekends and evenings to accommodate your family’s scheduling needs.
