Minnie Adkins Ratliff

Minnie Adkins Ratliff born February 16, 1933, daughter of the late John William and Lila Thacker Adkins at Fords Branch, Pike County, Kentucky. She departed this life on Monday, November 20, 2017 peacefully at home. Minnie was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Ratliff, two sons, Billy Michael and John Timothy Ratliff. She was also preceded in death by six brothers, James, Charlie, Sam, Dan, Norman, and William, great granddaughter Evie Hope Boring, and a cousin that was raised with her as a sister, Claudette Reynolds. Minnie is survived by one son, Jesse Larry Steffey, and wife Penny of Pikeville, Ky. One daughter, Pamela Ratliff Epling, and husband Chris of Maryville, Tennessee. Eleven Grandchildren, Chad and Chase Steffey, Tyler Ward, Justin Ratliff, Brittani Boring, Tyler Epling, Janessa, Kyle, and Cheyanne Epling, Tiffany and Tara Ratliff, ten great-grandchildren, two sisters-in-law, Alma Adkins and Christine Robinson, many nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends. Family will receive friends from 4:00 until 6:00 PM, Friday, November 24, 2017 at Smith Trinity Chapel. Funeral service will be at 6:00 PM with Pastor Rick Smelcher, Pastor Gary Jones, and Pastor Dean Jennings officiating.
