Melvin Berdine Wing

Melvin Berdine Wing, age 87, of Alcoa, met Jesus face to face and was reunited with his wife, his mother, and his best friend on February 28, 2018. He was born on July 2, 1930. Melvin was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Williams Wing, and parents, Howard Russell Wing and Mildred Wing Moquin. He was an active member of First Baptist Church Alcoa, until his wife became ill. Melvin worked on the Manhattan Project at ORNL, after separating from the Army Air Corp, and worked on the top-secret SPDL project at ALCOA, before retiring in 1997. He is survived by his children, Elaine Stout (Dean) of Alcoa, and Dan Wing; grandchildren, Amy Woellert (Heath) of Manley Hot Springs, Alaska, and David Neetz, Jr. of Alcoa and, great-grandchild, Mason Woellert.
