Mary Frances (Francy) Cash passed away on March 19, 2018 in Maryville, TN. Francy was born on October 31, 1935 in Frankstown, PA. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Francis Drass and Mary Ethel Shoemaker Drass; her brother, Robert F. Drass, Jr., all of Hollidaysburg, PA. She is survived by Edward B. Cash, Sr. her husband of 62 years; son, Edward Cash, Jr., his wife Suzanne Henderson Cash; granddaughter, Jessica (husband Steve) Cash Miller; grandson, Aaron Cash; and great-grandsons, Jack and Jimmy Miller of Durango, CO; and her son, Damian Cash, his wife Tammy Ownsby Cash and grandson Benjamin Cash of Maryville, TN. She is also survived by sisters, Pamela Chaiser and her husband David of Plantation, FL, Gloria Jean Sager of Erie, PA, Eleanor Leed Rice of Nevada and Alyce Kaye Wolfe of Wilmington, NC; along with nieces, Natalie and Mariessa Chaiser of Plantation FL, Elizabeth and Ronday of Erie, PA, Jennifer and Adrianne of California; and nephews, Robert & James Drass of Washington, D.C, John Joe of Charlotte, NC. Francy was an active member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Townsend, TN, active in the Catholic Youth Organization of Our Lady of Fatima Church in Alcoa, and a cub scout leader. Francy attended the University of Tennessee. She was a member of the Blount County Art and Craft Guild where she served as president and vice-president and helped start the newsletter that is still sent to members. She was a well-known watercolor and oil artist and painted the mural in the Friendsville Elementary School cafeteria. Francy was a charter member of the Tuckaleechee Garden Club, Life Member of the Tennessee Federation of Garden Clubs, National Life Member of Garden Clubs and the Deep South organization. She won numerous awards for her creative floral designs. Francy was also a member of the Mary Blount Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and served on the board of directors for the Hearts and Hands Scholarship fund. Friends will be received at 1:00 PM, Saturday, March 24, 2018 with Rosary at 1:30 PM at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be at 2:00 PM with interment to follow at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, Alcoa.
