Kenneth Singleton

Kenneth L. Singleton, 85, formerly of Maryville and Akron, Ohio passed away on Sunday July 2, 2017 at his home in Greer, South Carolina. He was a graduate of Everett High School, a Veteran of the US Navy, and a graduate of The University of Tennessee. He retired to South Caroline in 1992 after working 33 years for the Uniroyal-Goodrich Tire Company in Akron, Ohio. He was a former member of Everett Hills Baptist Church and a member of Brushy Creek Baptist church in Taylors, SC. Kenneth will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Virginia Teffeteller Singleton; parents, Olan G. and Carrie M. Singleton; sister, Brenda Partain. Surviving are his son, Kenton Singleton and wife Amparo; two granddaughters, Amanda Gambrell and husband Austin, Amber Singleton; one great-granddaughter, Grace Gambrell, all of Greer, SC. Memorials may be made to American Diabetes Association, PO Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312. Friends may come by the funeral home between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM on Thursday and Friday.
