Evelyn Louise Bennett

Evelyn Louise Bennett, age 76, of Friendsville passed away peacefully at home on Friday, November 10, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. Evelyn was a devoted loving wife and mother who loved life and loved people. She had a beautiful giving spirit and a passion for serving and encouraging others. She never met a stranger and had a gift for making everyone she met feel special. She loved to laugh and make people laugh and her beautiful smile was infectious. Her quick wit, joyful heart and kindness will be deeply missed by all who loved and adored her so much. Her greatest joy in life was her family and she was theirs. Evelyn was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and loved serving her church and working in the clothing ministry. We are so thankful for her legacy of faith, love and optimism and showing us how to live selflessly and sacrificially. She was an angel on this earth and now she is an angel in heaven. She is preceded in death by parents Norman and Pauline Bossier. She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Jackie Bennett; son and daughter-in-law Mark and Jeanine Bennett, daughter and son-in-law Monica and Ted Long, sister Sylvia Myers and husband Fred, brothers Jimmy Bossier and wife Charlotte and Jack Bossier and wife Pattie and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Monday, November 13th from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. in the Smith Trinity Chapel. Service will immediately follow with Pastor Mike Parker officiating. Family and friends will meet Tuesday, November 14th at 10:45 at Grandview cemetery in Maryville for 11:00 Internment.
