Deborah J. Templin

Deborah Templin, of Alcoa, passed from this life to join her Lord and Savior on August 10, 2017. Debbie was dearly loved by her family and friends. She spent a lifetime reaching out to many in need, including family and others who would ultimately count themselves among her many friends. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Alcoa, TN. She proudly served multiple airlines as a flight attendant over a career of more than 30 years, most notably with Northwest and Delta. She was preceded in death by her mother, Betty J (Shattuck) Johnson and her father-in-law, Charles Templin. She is survived by her loving husband of 29 years, Craig Templin; her two sons, Adam and Joshua Templin; her father, Clarence Johnson of Batavia, NY and her mother-in-law Ada Templin of Alcoa, TN; her older brother, Carl Johnson of Clifton, VA; her little sister, Dorlisa Johnson-Cowart, of Clayton, NC; her nieces and nephews, Carl Evan Johnson, Lauren Johnson, Grayson Cowart, and Holden Cowart; her brother-in-law Kendall Cowart; and a large number of very loving and supportive Aunts, Uncles and cousins. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 PM on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at the Smith Funeral Home, 1402 Tuckaleechee Pike, Maryville, TN. Funeral Services will be held at the First Baptist Church, Alcoa, TN at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, August 16, 2017. Burial will follow the funeral services at Sherwood Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 3175 Airport Highway, Alcoa, TN.
