Betty Rose Whittemore

Betty Rose Whittemore, age 86, of Maryville, Tennessee, passed away Saturday, May 20, 2017. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Maryville. For many years, Betty was a volunteer with the Blount Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Whittemore; parents, Brad and Dezzie Borden; five brothers and one sister. Survivors include daughters, Pat Willoughby (Louie) and Donna Kay Williams (David); son, Greg Whitehead (Christine); granddaughters, Larissa Murphy (Merrick) and Ally Whitehead; grandsons, Brian Williams (Brooke); Jonathan Williams (Jessica); Cory Whitehead and Noah Whitehead; great grandchildren, Mackenzie Murphy; Madison Murphy; Ainsley Williams; Braxton Williams; Gracie Williams; Silas Williams; Elijah Williams; sister, Shirley Patterson; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Saturday, May 27, 2017, 5:30-7:00 p.m. with funeral services following at 7:00 p.m. at Smith Trinity Chapel, 1402 Tuckaleechee Pike, Maryville, Tennessee, with Reverends Brian and Jonathan Williams officiating.
