Anna Marie Eggers

Anna Marie Eggers, age 91 crossed over Friday, May 26, 2017 to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She is preceded in death by her husband, Lewis B. Eggers, Jr. They were happily married for 40 years. She is also preceded by parents, George and Neppie Teffeteller; brothers, Earl, Henry, J.R., and Jimmy Teffeteller. Marie leaves behind one son and daughter-in-law, Lewis (Lou) and Nancy Eggers; granddaughters, Pamela and Jamie; great-grandsons, Josh and Logan; sister Dorothy Teffeteller; special niece, Susan Johnson and several nieces and nephews. Marie was born in Blount County, TN. After graduation, she was employed by Sterchi Brothers Furniture as cashier and bookkeeper. She was later employed by Blount County School System as secretary and Title 1 Reading Program until her retirement in 1993. Marie became a member of Pecks Memorial United Methodist Church at the age of 10. She was a member of the church choir for several years and served on committees throughout her years. Marie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and aunt. She especially enjoyed taking care of her home and loved to garden. Marie always had time for her family and friends. She loved to help others and was always loyal to visit family and friends in the nursing homes. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Saturday, May 27, 2017 with a funeral service at 7:00 pm in Smith West Chapel. Friends and family will assemble at Grandview Mausoleum Chapel for an entombment service at 1:00 pm on Sunday, May 28, 2017.
